Temperature & Humidity
The temperature and humidity is extremely important for any plants development.
All the growing advice online can be misleading.
We have the right information on achieving and maintaining the correct temperature and humidity.
If you don’t follow our simple guidelines, your plants may not grow to your thinking.
To maximise your harvests, you must create ideal conditions.
All the guides on growing teach you that.
And the environment is crucial.
When it comes to growing marijuana in a grow tent, what is the ideal temperature Read on to find out.
Tent Temperature And Humidity
What is the perfect humidity and temperature for a grow tent? There is no single optimal condition for all stages of plant growth.
If you want to be careless and maximise your yield, you could maintain your temperature around 22-26°C. After that, you’d ought to decrease the grow tent humidity again.
Seedling Stage: 23-29°C/70-80% humidity.
Vegetative Stage: 21–29°C/40–50% humidity (do not go over 55 percent).
Flowering Stage: 18–26°C/40 percent humidity (do not go over 50 percent)
Because the cannabis plant’s needs change from seedling to mature flowering adult, the temperature and relative humidity must also change.
That’s why most expert gardeners have different rooms (or huge grow tents) containing plants in different stages of growth.
A different marijuana plant room for each stage
We suggest to have a separate flowering and vegetative grow area, plus a seedling room. This allows for easy environmental control and two times more than average harvests per year.
The optimum conditions for each stage of growth are discussed below. Let’s start with the two tools you’ll need to keep a grow tent at the right temperature and humidity.
Thermometer
Thermometers are a handy device which has been around for over a century and reveals the temperature of your surrounding.
Temperature gauge for grow rooms
Thermometers range in efficiency and style. Generally, a high quality digital thermometer is best. However, keep in mind that it can only monitor the temperature of the vicinity where it is positioned.
You should also have a small portable thermometer to take accurate readings around your tent, especially near your plants.
Over time, you will notice that some spots are innately warmer or colder than others, which may also help you position your plants.
This is irrelevant if you have a small grow tent with just a few pots.
A mobile thermometer is great for ‘fact checking’ your equipment. If you have central air conditioning, you can use your mobile thermometer to compare the readings.
Temperature readings on A/C units and other large machinery can be off by a lot. In something like a commercial or semi-commercial operation, you need to base your decisions on solid data.
Agrometer
This device measures water vapour in the air. Like thermometers, it is a simple tool that comes in wall mount and portable versions.
For that very same reason as thermometers, you should have both a mounted and a portable hygrometer. There is a device that evaluates both humidity and temperature is also available.
Your hygrometer may be your most vital tool. Too much humidity can spoil your entire garden without warning.
Preventing excessive humidity can actually save your crop. If your buds rot, your plants are over with.
A good hygrometer (or several) is essential for measuring garden humidity. You’ll know when it rises and can save your plants!
