Cannabis Infused Butter

Step 1 : Decarboxylation

You will first need to ‘decarb’ your marijuana to allow the THC, CBD and other cannabinoids to activate.

Preheat the oven to 220° F and place the marijuana onto a clean oven safe dish or sheet, once the oven has heated up place dish in centre of the oven for 20 – 45 minutes (20 mins for low quality marijuana, 45 mins for high quality) checking every 10 minutes to avoid burning.

step 2 : Marijuana Infusion 

Add 2 cups of water and 8 ounces butter to a saucepan and place on very low heat and gently stir until all the butter is melted.

Add the marijuana ( half ounce) and gently stir for 2 minutes then place a lip on the saucepan and let simmer fpr 4 hours stirring every half an hour to ensure the butter does not melt.

Step 3 : Extraction

Strain the mixture through cheese cloth into a suitable size container and let cool.once cooled the butter and water will have separated and you can now discard the water making sure not to lose any butter.store in the fridge or freezer.

Step 4 :Cooking

You can use marijuana butter just like you would any normal butter or fat, perfect for cakes, cookies and muffins.
